About the artist

Judith Sinnamon has a lovely way with light – that is the best way to describe how it caresses the subjects in her highly detailed works that most often feature local flora or familiar household objects. A graduate of the QCA, and having exhibited in Brisbane for more than a decade,  Sinnamon has an ability to capture the intimacy of things.  She likes to bring tree branches, blossom and leaves into her studio so she can experiment with composition. In her own words she says that her work “explores the play and fall of the intense Brisbane light across the sitter together with objects, surfaces and textures”. As well as having her work held by the Mater Private Hospital Brisbane Art Collection and the Kawana Private Hospital Art Collection, she also has works in numerous private collections in Australia and internationally.

The artist is represented by Edwina Corlette Gallery.
