Warwick Anderson by Jax MacMillan

I am a year 10 student. The sitter for this work is my grandmothers brother in law, who is a resident of Brisbane with my great aunt. My grandmother and her sister were the only girls in a family of 7 children and so they have always been very close. Uncle Warwick is a gentle man who loves my great aunt. While he used to enjoy motor vehicles and motorbikes, as an older person Uncle Warwick now enjoys riding his bicycle around Brisbane. My life has been lived in NSW; the only connection I have beyond it is my tie to Brisbane through Aunty Fran and Uncle Warwick. This artwork is an image of the man who is a symbol of my connection to Brisbane.
