Sarah-Jane Walsh is a lover of story and theatrical producer of her own world within Camp Hill Antique Centre and Tart Cafe, where new shows feature daily. Dressed perfectly to theme, with her iconic beehive hairstyle in place, she dreams big: big props, big colours, big hair, big production, and ultimately, a big risk!!
About the sitter
Sarah-Jane Walsh, co-owner of Camp Hill Antique Centre is a former Assistant Film & TV Director. She has worked in props, wardrobe, post-production visual effects and animation. Some of her projects have included Peter Pan, George of the Jungle II, Narnia, H2O Just Add Water and Sea Patrol.
About the artist
Marisa Veerman’s gestural work communicates emotion with a raw honesty and quiet joy. Using a unique technique fusing photography, embroidery and wax, gently moving figures and space are a central theme of her work. Creating theatrical atmospheres, the figures are transcended into wondrous colour palettes are synonymous with Marisa’s work.

Sarah-Jane created a nostalgic escape for the people of Brisbane at the Camp Hill Antique Centre and Tart Cafe, saving the 1950’s cinema, Planet Theatre from developers and transforming it into a wonderland of antiques. “The antique centre is not a dusty old museum but rather a theatrical production…”
