Amanda Penrose Hart had the pleasure of going on a few painting trips with Reg Mombassa and had the opportunity to paint him from life. She did many studies for this portrait, which, at 40×30, ended up smaller than she had planned.

Behind the scenes
I painted Reg from life while he was performing in a concert in NZ. He was very agreeable to having his portrait painted. This is my 3rd portrait of him
