Time has moved, become slippery, flexible, to the point of feeling as though everything is happening at the same time. This is the inspiration for Matt Epple’s self-portrait: a blurring of zones and overlapping conversations.

About the artist
Matt Epple has been working in the arts in Brisbane for more than 30 years, since his arrival in 1988. He was a member of the small, but powerful, freelance illustration collective Westside Studio” in West End, and creative partner in several design studios that represented national companies and managed their identities. He has worked as a senior artist creating public art for international destinations and had numerous sell out solo and group exhibitions. Since completing his research Masters in 2012, Epple lectured at QUT and now holds a full time position with Torrens University as Senior Lecturer in Communication Design. Epple lives with his wonderful wife and daughter at the top of Mt Glorious.
