This painting is about the sudden change that has happened over the last couple months of being an artist in Brisbane and Dealing with the pandemic. Of this work, Braddy says, “The day starts clear it could be almost perfect, but an echo of loneliness creeps in. So unexpectedly.”

Joanne Braddy’s paintings focus on the face to draw the viewer’s attention to the emotion in the eyes. Her paintings can be impacting, moving, healing and speak to the viewer on their inner struggles and strengths. Her work has appeared in numerous group exhibitions across Australia and has received several awards, including the Moreton Bay Region Council Art Brian Burke 25th Anniversary Award.
